VARIOUS WAYS TO TAILSPIN OUR FOOD AND RAW MATERIAL SOURCES THANKS TO GLOBAL WARMING.

You and I may be part of the global following of sceptics as in what really is entailed in this thing cum monster codenamed Global warming. Some pockets of weary scientists fighting real hard to drive this touchy topic home to an utterly confused nauseated public. As matter of fact the battle ground to a manner of explanations to that effect is pregnant enough to call for illusion. This eventual warming up, proponents assume emanates from green house gases like Methane, Carbon dioxide, Water vapour, Ozone and nitrous oxide. The lion’s share of the damage however is attributed to Methane.
Is this phenomenon really happening or its hot air? Subject to foregoing discoveries over the last century an exhorbitant world temperature hike from 0.45 to 0.6 degrees Celsius has been registered .The crux of the problem is rooted in rallying the various explanations in temperature rise as is fronted from the various schools of thought.
If all does not fit in with the gases explanations what could be an alternative explanation! Certainly non alarmist calling for a status quo in usage of assumed pollutants like organic fuels assert. Natural trend of events in the atmospheric condition of our earth has followed that graph with or without human interference they argue.
The science of global warming has a sizable linking of Sun’s radiation and how it’s used after approaching our earth. Smaller wave length sun rays radiated towards earth penetrating through the earth’s atmosphere. They are meant to bounce back, but on hitting the earth’s surface given its irregularity are now of much bigger wavelength .The scenario is such that the plentiful accumulation of a blanket of gases above earth curtails eventual escape of outbound energy waves whose size is larger than can penetrate through.
This kind of explanation has served to have a somewhat logical explanation to this wider discussion marred with great confusion. You might have uncovered an alternative form of explanation and this would be prudent a time to summarily execute the notoriously crazy explanations we are subjected to. Am not sophicated as may be many folks treading these pages but I ascribe to the belief of rising temperatures ,needless to say growing up a heavy blanket would do for a normal night’s sleep, and today? Just a bed sheet is all I need. If you have been in countries like Uganda along the tropics it has repeatedly become punishingly hot. Some of those polar residents are increasingly seeing glaciers melt.
It’s certain therefore that the world is warming up; the only certain uncertainty is confirming whose work is it anyway.
If it’s true that human activity is catalyst enough to exacerbate the harmful gases emission process, whose results we sketchily know, how do they get generated? Do we have remedies?
Much emphasis of reforestation programmes would be a noble alternative, trees store vast amounts of carbon within themselves and an expansive tree planting session would be one of those viable options. The advent of natural gas serves to help reduction of more polluting coal for energy generation, the United States say uses a hefty 50% of its energy outputs from burning coal. The energy demands even if it were substituting it for natural gas are astronomically rising, outstripping any advantages over coal usage, here natural gas to substitute the former would still make no sense, its minimal pollution capabilities will have been amplified all the same given the incremental energy demands.
The speed crazy generation clamouring for ever increasing energy guzzlers is uncalled for, I would not sound rhythmically write if I were anecdoting for that sort of following. Much a as they are in self denial, the many pages ever inked on sound pollution doctrine gravitate towards greenhouse gas emitting capabilities, the main cause of the problem. After all even those protagonists with that alternative theory have not proved themselves clear, for the wider public does not attest to the so called natural environmental pathway they are plying.
The nuclear energy platform would also be something to filling in the slot. Countries like France have a massive foothold in this industry with one of the biggest nuclear energy companies on earth “Areva” calling this home. With 75% of France’s energy supply nuclear, they have become a hallmark of the French countryside. This would be a welcome move if it were not for the safety concerns as witnessed in the recent Japanese incident. There are ultimately no greenhouse gases from a nuclear process
Wind energy is alien to a great many people but it’s caught on lately especially in Europe, though wind farms are very expensive to erect, they have no side effects whatsoever save for the erratic wind torrents to keep the turbines running. The advantages are it offers more jobs per a kilowatt of produced, no greenhouse gases produced. Germany is heading the vanguards in harnessing this technology.
Hybrid or even more interconvertible electric cars are now a reality, their efficiency still poses some problems between the charging and energy dissipation times. The alternatives to pollution are numerous and many are coming online but it will desire much political commitment as opposed to what is happening.
Whether people believe or not the realities of the global warming are just too real and hitting real hard.
Shifting weather patterns which have grossly affect flora and Fauna breeding. Crop failures in many countries are biting hard and immense chunks of farmland are being lost to desert, a case of the Sahel region in the Sahara desert is one such example. New diseases attacking an already weakened crop due to soil exhaustion much to the disgust of farmers, leading to eventual drain on their food stocks.
The Economics of raw materials and food has not been spared in this respect. While many acres of farmland are devoted to growing Jatropha for biodiesel production, it so happens that the stocks of other raw materials which include food crops like Corn are being replaced by the more lucrative alternative, while farmlands others are decimated by the aridity. The overall food production is supposed to decline.
The ensuing distortion will ofcourse cause turmoil in the local, regional and international food supply chains bringing with it even more hunger. Developing and developed nations will be hit hard alike.
