WHY M7 SHOULD BE THE FIRST EVER EAST AFRICAN PRESIDENT

As the saying goes always “weigh on the weighable and not otherwise”, I think this is a wonderfully stunning experience knocking at the door of many an east African citizen. Having a common presidency and most of all a visionary in halls of power would make us vanguards of a federation forming nuclei of a much bigger United States of Africa. At a latter date.

This region could be in the good books of history for having spearheaded the united states of Africa with such beautiful ideas all spearheaded by a single fellow. All this qualifies him a visionary and therefore the only qualified Guy I should say to preside over the first presidency.

Another thing is the ease with which he expresses the will to be the first head of state of E.africa without cowering while his counterparts feel shy about being open. We need such a leader who makes his ambitions open for discussion.

With all the fuss about who must or must not be the first president of the federation I would throw in a towel to nominate my choice as the best we can ever have at this point in time.

With an excess of successes in turning around a once tainted state from the spoils of an African Butcher as Idi amin was properly known. Museveni has made mark and he continues to score points on the development scale. He has had the detestable side of him like cracking hard on opponents, acting deaf on graft and rewarding mostly his henchmen ,but this has not stopped the rest of the country to somewhat leap from the shackles of poverty.

His experience in convincing warring parties to leave the bush like Uganda has had countless rebel groups which have all ceased hostilities by intervention of the president is no mean feat, no country in east Africa has had such a problem before.

His ambitious projections on things that matter to remove the rest of us from the doldrums of poverty is what we are keen about and much of what has happened that Uganda has learned to stand up to Kenyan business aggressiveness and have almost overtaken Tanzania which has never had wars was unthinkable decades ago.

Among his many successes and what the president is able to do or has done:

-Capability of ridding Uganda of violent dictatorship with minimum resources in a record time unrivalled on the continent.
-Turning around the country from non functioning state run by criminal rackets to an organized state in a record time with unrivalled growth.
-Tabling dynamic ideas and sounding convincing to his peers in the federation spearheading the way.
-Regional dominance of issues ranging from politicking, economy, market rewashing of the Ugandan state to an extent that the CHOGM meeting as the buzzword on many kampalans lips has been one of his Gifts, a slam Dunk indeed.
-His successes to combat the aids pandemic better than the well endowed nations has won him acclaim world over.
So who can say museveni isn’t the most qualified for the East African prime post having seen all that he has achieved
